Cement sector decarbonisation: a HERCCULEan task?

Collaborative article published on International Cement review (ICR) magazine. Supported by the EU’s Horizon Europe initiative, the HERCCULES project aims to accelerate the scale-up of carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS) technologies in Mediterranean Europe, demonstrating the feasibility of the entire CO2 CCUS value chain with a focus on energy-environmental performance, safety, optimisation of CO2 logistics, and economic and social acceptability aspects.
