Within HERCCULES, TITAN will:
- Coordinate activities aiming at designing and building a TRL7-8 pilot plant implementing innovative and flexible hybrid CO2 capture technology, comprising oxy-fuel calcination integrated with CO2 Purification Unit (CPU) and a new generation solvent-based post-combustion. Integral part of these activities will be the design, engineering, construction, and commissioning of a pilot oxy-fuel calciner. The calciner will have to be integrated into an existing cement plant, considering minimal disruption to the commercial operations, while creating opportunities for valuable experimentation.
